Guy Hoffman

Guy Hoffman is a musician and artist from Milwaukee, Wisconsin. He attended the Peck School of the Arts at the University of Wisconsin- Milwaukee where he also honed his drumming skills, eventually keeping time and adding vocals for legendary bands like the OilTasters, BoDeans, and Violent Femmes. In addition to playing in these bands, he contributed original artwork for their gig posters, endowing the groups’ promotional media with a unique Dadaist collage sensibility that became iconic in around the walls and telephone poles of River West. Hoffman’s work was featured prominently in Real Tinsel's exhibition Gig’s Up: 50 Years of Milwaukee Punk Posters, and continues to make artwork independent of the call to get people to the show.
